Lookout Mountain Nature Center

If there is one thing Kylie loves, it's being outside. Today we went to the Lookout Mountain Nature Center and walked around the Forest Loop trail. We didn't see any animals, but Kylie did get to collect sticks which is one of her favorite things to do.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hot Dog Pease

Kylie's favorite show is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. When we are at home she watches one episode in the morning and one at night. This month she started referring to it as Hot Dog, which is the closing song they play at the end of each episode. Every day she says, Hot Dog Pease, but this week she whispered it to Grandma Kathy so Chris wouldn't hear. So funny!

Chris and I ran a 5k last Sat and then went out to dinner at a place called Steuben's. The race was filled with all sorts of people which was an experience of its own. We waited awhile for dinner but it was definitely worth it. I had a blt, grilled brussel sprouts & moscow mule and Chris had a philly cheese steak. We highly recommend it!

Kylie, Sadie & Potatoes

While I was working yesterday I heard a crunching sound coming from the kitchen. It's not uncommon for Kylie to distribute bags around the kitchen or spill the potatoes on the floor, however, Sadie partook in the festivities & had a little snack. When she was finished, Scout stepped in and ate the rest. I grabbed my camera in the midst of the fun. In less than a year this won't be a problem in our new kitchen complete with LOTS of storage, gas range, granite, wood floors & beveled arabesque tile. Half way down you'll see Kylie's hop slippers my mom got her for Easter. She likes to slide around in them for about 20 min and then she's off to the next activity.

 

 

 

Easter

We went to church on Saturday night so we could avoid a meltdown on Sunday. Kylie woke up, found her Easter basket & ate french toast & bacon courtesy of Daddy. She took a long nap and then we headed to the Kriegers for a feast & egg hunt.

Happy Friday

I had Good Friday off which was a nice needed break for me. Kylie and I spent the morning at home & then headed off to play at Stella's. We went to the park and practiced hunting for eggs just in time for Easter. Two hours later they were sharing juice and splashing around in the water. These two are non-stop and constantly keep Katie and I on our toes.

Happy Sunday!

We went to church on Saturday night so we could have a relaxing Sunday as a family. I made mickey mouse pancakes this morning and took Kylie outside to play in the snow while Chris took a nap. She got really upset when she couldn't go scoop with daddy. The second to last picture is her praying hands which happens before meals and bedtime.
