Bellview Park

We took a trip to Bellview Park and I couldn't believe how lush & green it was! Many people go here for the mini farm/train ride, but the open area & shallow stream makes it great for everyone.

 

 

Civic Green Park

Today we went to Civic Green Park in Highlands Ranch which is situated in between Lucent & Broadway. I would consider it the Confluence Park of the south minus the liberal bike riders. It has 3 water features kids can splash around in & a huge esplanade. The jungle gym is quite small and very crowded. Kylie made sure to point out the purple flowers along the rock path before a stick called her name. It's probably one of the best parks we've been to!

This past weekend I planted my garden...well actually I started 100 plants from seed a month earlier but lost half of them to the colder temps. Needless to say I'm back on track and looking forward to a great harvest this year. When I was watering last night, Kylie ran to the garden, stuck her arms out and yelled Wheeeeee! Change

The only thing constant is change. I always have to remind myself of that saying when I'm touching the same xls at work for the third time. Last week we started the process of converting Kylie to a big bed. Our crib doesn't convert to a toddler bed so she is moving to a queen complete with a princess headboard. We spent the first week with the mattress on the floor and the first night she woke up every hour. At 2am I heard her getting in one of her drawers playing with a dolphin and I had to remind her it was still sleepy time. She got better by the end of the week and by Monday she was in her big girl bed. I hope to be out of her room by the end of the week but I usually end up falling asleep in her bed before she does. I'm still trying to rearrange her room but I did create a picture wall above her bed and reading corner. Here's a few shots, more to come when her room is complete.

Spring in the Park

Spring is in the air, which means Summer is around the corner! As I've mentioned before Kylie loves being outside so we find ourselves at the park at least once a week. This is the first time I've taken my camera, but I will be bringing it more often as the pics turned out pretty good.
