Denver Botanic Gardens

This weekend we had family portraits taken in Wash Park. It wasn't as easy as last year because Kylie wanted to explore and play in the mud. On Sunday I took Kylie to church and then to the Denver Botanic Gardens. We had never been there before and I was amazed at the variety of plants/gardens they have on site. Kylie enjoyed the children's garden as well as the many water features. We ended our adventure with a salad and root beer float (more pease!) next to the lily pads.

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo & Bellview Park

We met Katie & Stella at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo this morning. Kylie loved feeding the giraffes until she felt the texture of their tongues. The girls lasted 3 hrs and we only made it half way around. Kylie fell asleep during the ride home and woke up when we pulled into the garage. An hour later we were off to Bellview Park where Kylie splashed around for about an hour.

Survival

We survived the most HM/Stressful week of the year! Chris' brother got married on Friday in northern Colorado which was preceded by the usual pre-wedding festivities. Chris was the best man & Kylie was the "flower girl." Kylie did great during rehearsal, but was not a happy camper by the end of the week. My mom whisked her away after she was carried down the isle by Papa. Along with all the wedding festivities, the recital took place this weekend. Rehearsals started on Wednesday and consisted of dress rehearsal, pictures, stage rehearsal and the actual show. I had 3 classes perform & danced in all 3 shows. I'm exhausted to say the least.
