Our day started out at Kindermusic where Kylie received her first valentine from Bjorn & Alanna. The teddygrams where gone by the time we made it home. Katie & Stella came over later in the afternoon and we all sat on the kitchen floor eating spice cupcakes. The girls then played a little before deciding they wanted to go for a ride in the cozy coupe. Kylie was a good pusher but then wanted to be the driver and tried to get in with Stella. The look on Stella's face was priceless. We had fillet Mignon & twice baked potatoes for dinner which Kylie thoroughly enjoyed.

Little Red Car
Last year my aunts gave Kylie a red coupe for Christmas. We typically left it in the breezeway for her to play with during warmer winter days & took it outside during the summer. She officially fell in love with it a couple of months ago and would throw temper tantrums when it was time to go indoors. During the last cold snap we brought it in the house and it's her new favorite spot. Everyday she can be found having a snack in her car, petting Sadie or watching cartoons. Thanks Aunt Bug & Aunt Cindy!
The overalls are Lacoste, circa 1982/1983. Yep, Big D got them for me and I kept on to a couple outfits for Kylie to wear. It's probably the one & only time she'll wear them. I tried to get a pic with her cowgirl hat...she had other ideas.

Dog Sled Ride
I got my dad a dog sled ride for Christmas rather than the usual materialistic items. We experienced the adventure today & I thought my nose was going to fall off b/c it was so cold. We were pulled by a team of 11 huskies around a 7 mile loop averaging about 17mph. Our guide wasn't too talkative but luckily there was an amazing view throughout the trip. The dogs average about 3 rides a day and then they are free to play in a big open area. Here's till next time...!

Yee-Haw!
Kylie went to the stock show last week with my dad. My mom even stopped to buy her a cowgirl hat the night before. She'll get lots of use out of it during our family reunion this summer, but with a matching ensemble.

Back at the Littleton Museum
We headed back to the Littleton Museum today since the weather was so nice! Kylie made sure to say Hi! to all the animals and ran after the cat who she calls Sadie. She had fun chasing her shadow and carrying around the milking stool. We don't have to worry about goose poop as she still prefers playing in the rocks.

Alice and Wonderland Park
Today we took a trip to the Alice & Wonderland park. They had about 10 or so different sculptures from the story. I managed to capture a couple of pictures before my camera died. Kylie was fascinated by the geese & pond. Too bad there was a lot of geese poop to go with it. I think we'll had back in the spring when everything is green.

Happy New Year!
2013 is off to a busy start! (I'm writing this as Kylie is practicing her gardening skills in a potted plant and splashing around in the dog water dish) I have continued to work full time as a senior analyst & teach ballet/tap one day a week. When not at home, we're either working out, dancing, spending time with family or trying to keep Kylie busy. Last year I mentioned one of my goals this year was to visit 25 playdate locations in Colorado. We are off to a good start thus far...pics will be posted in the future.

Before I forget, one of my goals this year is to entertain once a month and try out new recipes. I was reminded of this when we went out on Friday night for a nice dinner & I sent both of my dishes back including my fillet. We agreed our expectations are pretty high considering we can make amazing food at home. Here are some of our new favorite recipes:
1. Butternut Squash Soup (C's new fav): http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/squash-soup-recipe/index.html
2. Veggie Sandwiches (my new fav): http://allrecipes.com/recipe/california-grilled-veggie-sandwich/detail.aspx?event8=1&prop24=SR_Title&e11=veggie%20sandwich&e8=Quick%20Search&event10=1&e7=Recipe%20Hub
