Vail Dance Festival

My dad & I started a new tradition last year...Vail Dance Festival. Every summer they invite artists from around the US to perform in the Ford amphitheater. Their season typically caters to ballet lovers but there are a couple nights where you are able to watch a mix of genres. Last year was good, but this year was AMAZING. Misty Copeland & Tiler Peck performed along with Mark Morris, PNW Ballet, Boston Ballet & Hubbard Street. Tiler Peck was the shinning star of the night! Her technique & artistry blew me away. 

We took the whole family up to Vail this year.  My parents ended up in a room that looked like something out of Rosanne's era (wood paneling, duck pictures & minimal light). It suited its purpose but definitely provided some good laughs. K had fun playing at the pirate park, riding the gondola, & swimming in the pool. All in all it was a nice mountain getaway:)

Family Birthday Celebration

We hosted the annual Summer birthday celebration this year. We set up a water slide in the backyard & stuffed ourselves with pizza & cake. I tried to capture a couple pics before hand but Kylie was NOT having it. She ended up in timeout for having an attitude with her grandparents. 

Busy Summer Weekend

It's been a non-stop weekend:) On Saturday we took family pics, went to Littleton Museum, & had Kylie's preschool teacher over for dinner. Miss Birch has the biggest heart & helped Kylie adjust to the classroom setting. We are forever grateful for making it an easier transition. We woke up early Sunday to participate in the Donor Dash & then had breakfast with the fam. I am counting down the days until we can sit on the beach in the Carolinas and not rush from one activity to the next.

Picnic

Kylie got this picnic basket from the Zech's back in 2011 & it's still one of her favorite toys. She emptied the kleenex box & grabbed grapes from the fridge before inviting me to the table.

A Girl & her Dog

Kylie loves her dog, Scout! She pours Scout tea during my conference calls, lays on her to watch Mickey & even attaches her leash to the back of her Minnie Mouse beetle so she doesn't have to stay in the breezeway by herself. There's a special bond between this girl & her dog.

Slip'n'Slide

After all the rain we had this year, there was a stretch of 90 degree weather which made it perfect for playing in the water. We set up the Slip'n'Slide & away she went.

Nightime Routine

Every night it's the same routine...potty, brush teeth, PJs, read, lay down & Beautiful. On rare occasion does Kylie stay in her bed and go right to sleep. She usually comes out of her room asking for water, cuddle time or Scout. On this night we heard a clip clop sound coming from her room & found her wearing my shoes while carrying her Minnie-Mouse purse.
